2005 High Flying Eagles:

These are the 23 individuals nominated in 2005 by their friends, family and fellow alumni. We hope CHS continues to provide the positive influence to create good citizens of the world.  

These Eagles have made great sacrifices in their lives, made great contributions to mankind, performed extreme acts of heroism, achieved great accomplishments, attained high honors, or reached notoriety.

Honorees were featured in the exhibit, High Flying Eagles: CHS Wall of Honor at the Thomas County Historical Society / Prairie Museum of Art and History during the CHS reunion. The exhibit consisted of photographs and bios of the nominees. The name of the honoree, year of graduation, and accomplishment is listed below. CHS Alumni Wall of Honor 

We are now accepting nominations for the exhibit which will honor Colby High School graduates or teachers who have:
  • Made contributions to mankind
  • Made great sacrifices in their lives
  • Performed extreme acts of heroism
  • Achieved great accomplishment
  • Attained high honors
  • Reached notoriety

The nominations may be teachers or alumni of CHS and may be given posthumously. The Colby Alumni Association is requesting nominations, information and copies of photographs of these Eagles and can be sent to High Flying Eagles: Colby Alumni Association, PO Box 977, Colby KS  67701-0977. Honorees will be featured in the exhibit High Flying Eagles: CHS Wall of Honor at the Prairie Museum of Art and History and will be honored at the assembly at the 2030 reunion.

This year's High Flying Eagles were honored during the assembly held at the Colby Community Building on Saturday, June 19th.
