Representative Shirley Hankins is currently serving her 10th term in the Washington State Legislature. After the death of her husband, Myron Hankins, in October of 1977, she decided to run for the Washington State Legislature. For over eighteen years she has represented the 8 th district in the Washington State Legislature. She has served on several important committees. Currently she is on the transportation and capital budget committees.
